Mayapple Village Homeowners Association

The official website of the Mayapple Village Homeowners Association.

Mayapple Village is a diverse community that provides a variety of residential styles within its bounds. More than 180 Mayapple Village homeowners live in single family homes found along Derbyshire Drive, patio homes on Kitszell Drive, townhouses on Liberty Court, and in the condominiums of Meadowridge East and West. This planned residential development (PRD) is integrated within the 18-hole Mayapple Golf Links and Club. Residents may patronize the golf course and club house, of course, but it is not an official part of Mayapple Village. Mayapple Village is located within the boundaries of South Middleton Township and the larger confines of Cumberland County, in south central Pennsylvania.

Mayapple Village is situated on a 200-acre parcel of the old Mayapple Dairy Farm, so named by the Otto family for the mayapple plants that grew throughout the farm. The historic borough of Carlisle, home of the U. S. Army War College and U. S. Army Heritage and Education Center (USAHEC), Dickinson College and Penn State University Dickinson Law School, is found a few miles to the northwest, and the quaint village of Boiling Springs is our neighbor to the southeast.

The Appalachian Trail runs directly through our area on its way between Maine and Georgia and many other state parks and historical sites are found nearby. Live theatrical performances play regularly at the nearby Allenberry Playhouse and on stage at the restored Art Deco Carlisle Theater.

Within a larger radius of Mayapple Village are Harrisburg, Hershey, Gettysburg and State College. The state capital offers a variety of fine restaurants, live performances at the Forum, the Whitaker Center and various community playhouses, and tour of the impressive Capital building. Information about Central Pennsylvania is available from the Cumberland County Visitors Center and the Hershey-Harrisburg Welcome Center.
